March of the Living

A journey of memory, resilience, and Jewish identity

null

The March of the Living (MOL) is a 14-day educational program, which brings thousands of grade 10 to 12 students from around the world to Poland and Israel. This experiential trip teaches about Jewish European life before the war, the Holocaust, the creation of the State of Israel, and promotes Jewish identity development.

Join thousands of people from all over the world to experience March of the Living. Walk the three kilometers from Auschwitz to Birkenau on Yom HaShoah in honour of those who survived and in memory of those perished. Together, we will remember in Poland on Yom HaShoah, mourn with Israel on Yom HaZikaron, and commemorate with Israel on Yom Ha’atzmaut. Now more than ever, it is vital to prioritize Holocaust education, alongside the unique opportunity to travel with Holocaust survivors, hear their testimony in Poland, and then travel the rich history of Israel— the sole Jewish democratic state. This commitment is critical in our fight against antisemitism and ensuring a resilient, strong, and vibrant Jewish future.

Our Edmonton community is part of the Coast-to-Coast Canadian communities, which make this trip available to teens every second year.
