BBYO is a worldwide teen movement, bringing together high school students from all over the globe, with all types of interests and from all types of Jewish backgrounds. BBYO's pluralistic movement of Jewish teens, alumni, parents, volunteers and philanthropists serves as the one of the Jewish community’s most valuable platform for delivering to the post- Bar/Bat Mitzvah demographic a fun and meaningful experiences that inspires a lasting connection to the Jewish people.
Northwest Canada Region encompasses the provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan, offering opportunities for teens to connect with one another at the local and international levels, serve their communities, and travel the world, providing each participant with a network of lifelong friends, a perspective which adds value and meaning to life and a shared commitment to strengthening the Jewish future.
Events are planned by teens, for teens and programming ranges from fun activities like ice skating and camping overnights, to communal Shabbat celebrations and leadership trainings. A parent, advisor, or regional staff member is always on hand to ensure safety and health.
Through youth-led and staff-supported programs, BBYO Northwest Canada Region gives our members opportunities to develop leadership skills and positively affect their communities, the world, and themselves. We constantly strive to provide more Jewish teens with more meaningful Jewish experiences each and every day, so that they may become the future Jewish leaders in their communities and in the Jewish world at large.
