Join Rabbi Kliel for Lunch & Learn Program.
This month's topic is:
Why should it matter if my head is covered? Looking at the requirement of Kisui Rosh (covering your head)
Wearing a Kippah/Yarmulke when we pray, eat or learn Torah is now a normative practice within Conservative synagogues.
The question is why does it matter? What is the spiritual and religious impetus for this custom? And given that we are a fully egalitarian congregation how does this impact women who for the longest time were never required to take on this Minhag/custom?
Thursday, March 16 at 11:00am at Beth Shalom Lower Auditorium
The cost is $10—warm lunch included
