Kristallnacht Commemoration

7:00PM - 8:45PM

Kristallnacht, also called Night of Broken Glass or November Pogroms, refers to the night of November 9–10, 1938, when the Nazi parties in Germany, Austria, and Czechoslovakia spurred violent mobs to attack Jews and Jewish property including Synagogues, Jewish businesses and homes. These attacks were a turning point in the history of the Third Reich, marking a shift from antisemitic rhetoric and legislation to violent, aggressive, anti-Jewish measures that would culminate with the Holocaust.

Each year, we come together to mark this solemn anniversary and to learn more about the Holocaust to further the goal of never again.

This year, Francie Cyngiser, will share her father’s story of Holocaust survival in a live presentation of “Through Their Eyes”, a film that weaves testimony of Sydney Cyngiser z"l, with his children and grandchildren’s perspective.
